Dallas is a destination city, and its downtown restaurants are part of the reason why. In fact, some of the best steakhouses in the state of Texas are found right here in Dallas. These are some of the best steakhouses to check out if you’re in Downtown Dallas.

Chamberlain’s Steak and Fish

Best Dallas Steakhouses

Chamberlain’s Steak and Fish has served steakhouse fare in Dallas since 1993. Whether you’re in the mood for lamb chops or a wedge salad, Chamberlain’s is there for you. Bon Appetit even ranked Chamberlain’s as one of the best steakhouses in the country. Chamberlain’s also offers a cigar lounge where you can indulge before or after your meal.

On Sundays, the restaurant even offers a two-course prime rib dinner special. The menu boasts a variety of tasty appetizers, such as truffle deviled eggs, Wagyu beef pot stickers, and spicy seared ahi tuna. You can enjoy a variety of seafood dishes, including Chilean sea bass and Idaho rainbow trout. The chef’s specialties include bison strip steak, peppered and aged filet mignon, lamb chops, and duck breast. Steaks are served to your specification with roasted garlic mashed potatoes or parmesan truffle grits. Don’t forget to look at the dessert menu, which includes bread pudding, chocolate cake, and more.

Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse

Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse brings a fine-dining experience to Downtown Dallas. Not only does Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse offer high-quality beef, but it also offers a variety of seasonal meats, including elk and bison. In fact, Y.O. Ranch has its own Texas ranch that produces grass-fed and free-range meat. The restaurant is elegant but relaxed, with a business casual dress code.

The menu boasts many appetizers, such as quail medallions, venison rollups, and hot-fried oysters. You can also enjoy a wedge salad, chuck wagon chili, or corn bisque before you order your entree. Certified Angus beef options include filet mignon, prime ribeye steak, top sirloin, and more. Wild game options include venison chops and buffalo filet mignon. House specialties include Wagyu bone-in New York strip steak, chicken piccata, and the steakhouse Cobb salad.

Nick & Sam’s

Nick & Sam’s is a classic favorite, although it’s technically considered an uptown destination. Still, you don’t want to miss the swanky atmosphere and delicious food. You might also be tantalized by the amazing dessert selection, including the signature seven-layer cakes. All ingredients offer excellent quality and amazing flavor.

The menu at Nick & Sam’s, crafted by Chef Samir, includes everything from sushi and seafood to traditional steakhouse fare. The appetizer menu includes both cold and hot appetizers, such as bang bang broccoli and tuna tartare tacos. What makes Nick & Sam’s a stand-out option is its array of dishes, from duck duck mac and sushi rolls to Wagyu beef and seafood. Nick & Sam’s classic meal items include the prime bone-in filet, fried lobster, Maine lobster macaroni and cheese, and more. You can also choose a steak topper, such as foie gras or black truffle butter.

Dakota’s Steakhouse

If you’re looking for a romantic date spot in Downtown Dallas, Dakota’s Steakhouse is a fantastic option. It’s an elegant destination with a business or cocktail attire dress code. In fact, the steakhouse is located below ground and features a gorgeous garden waterfall and courtyard. It’s a great place to enjoy the city in a more intimate setting. Plus, the great food doesn’t hurt either.

For over 37 years, Dakota’s Steakhouse has offered a stellar menu with high-quality ingredients. The menu offers lunch and dinner options, including shrimp cocktail, short rib osso buco, grilled salmon, and veal chop parmesan. The boneless ribeye steak and beef Wellington also come recommended.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Corrientes 348 Argentinian Steakhouse

If you’re in the mood for something a little different, Corrientes 348 Argentinian Steakhouse is a great choice. Whether you stop in for just a few empanadas with a chimichurri sauce or you’re ready for tableside meat carving, you don’t want to pass up this South American dining spot. Plus, the restaurant offers a happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Corrientes 348 has offered high-quality cuts of meat since the late 1990s. The menu features a dinner menu with chorizo Argentino, salmon bites, quinoa salad, bife ancho (ribeye steak), bife de chorizo (New York strip loin), and Wagyu New York strip loin steak. Other entrees include boneless lamb leg, rack of lamb, pork ribs, and a variety of fish dishes.

Bob’s Steak & Chop House

Bob’s Steak & Chop House is a lively environment with fine wines and great cuts of meat. If you’re looking for a friendly, Texas-style steakhouse, you won’t find many better options. This one is located in the Omni Dallas Hotel and has a business casual environment. You may want to make reservations before you arrive as well.

This award-winning steakhouse features a solid menu with plenty of quality meats. You may want to try the carpaccio, tartare, or Wagyu tomahawk steak. The Australian rack of lamb and lobster served with a prime filet are also great options.

Hours: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
