14-Year-Old Entrepreneur Buys F150 for His Business

Last week, Grayson Soderholm and his parents went in search of a Ford truck to carry equipment for the 14-year-old's burgeoning window cleaning business.

After visiting several DFW area Ford stores, they found themselves in the new car lot at Planet Ford Dallas. "I saw them looking over the trucks and went outside to make sure they knew we were happy to assist them, even though it was 15 minutes until our normal closing time," recalls Sales Director Jeremy Grant. 

It was Grayson who had all the questions about the Ford trucks. His parents were helping him, but it was he who would be making the down payment and ultimately driving the truck when he turns 16. The young man is part of a military family that now resides in Flower Mound. 

Grayson's company is GK's Window Cleaning. ( https://www.gkswindowcleaning.com )  He estimates he serves more than 300 clients and he is an active member of the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. After weighing all his options, he selected a 2023 F-150 with a regular cab as his work truck.

"I've never seen a young man who was so poised, mature and excited about life and being in business for himself. He even asked if he could wash the windows at our dealership," chuckled Grant. "He told me he appreciated the way we took him seriously, becuase that had not been his experience at the other Ford stores they visited earlier that day."

"The entire team from Sales to Finance to Delivery assisted this young man and gave him the full experienc," said Grant. "Our customer care manager, Robert, spent nearly an hour explaining the truck's features to the family."  Lastly, the Finance team set up a dummy "contract" for Grayson to sign as a momento from his first big purchase.

"I could not have been more proud and happy for Grayson than if he'd been my own son," said Grant.  "That young many is going places."
