A great place to start reviewing the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E is its performance. With the Mach-E, there are two battery options to choose from: a standard 70 kWh or an extended-range 91 kWh. These batteries feed either a single electric motor on the Select or Premium trims for rear-wheel drive (RWD) or a motor on each axle for all-wheel drive (AWD).
When you select the GT or GT Performance model, these only come with AWD, and the motors will combine to deliver 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque. Opting for the RWD models instead will give you either 266 or 290 horsepower, along with 317 lb-ft of torque. A few other combinations are available, which can produce between 266 and 346 horsepower and around 427 lb-ft of torque.
And while these are excellent performance metrics, the Mach-E really shines when it comes to range and battery life. The EPA estimates the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E can make it between 224 and 312 miles on a single charge, depending on your setup.
On top of this, every version of the Mach-E comes with fast-charging capabilities, which can quickly charge your battery while you're on the go. You can also plug your Mach-E into any 240-volt outlet and replenish around 80% of the battery overnight. Ford offers a more powerful charging station you can install at home, which refills 28 miles of range in about an hour.
On the outside, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E looks like a modern-day muscle car. Its sleek design and subtle curves are unlike anything else on the market today. Moving inside, you can expect a spacious cabin despite the Mach-E's sporty exterior. One of the reasons for this is that Ford installed the battery between the floor and the bottom of the car to give more interior space compared to some competitors. The Mach-E can also come with a wide range of comfort features, including a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, interior lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
There's also a decent amount of cargo space inside the Mach-E. Behind the rear seats, you'll get around 29 cubic feet of cargo room, which is more than enough for some large suitcases or when you're running errands. If you do need some extra space though, you can fold down the rear seats and give yourself a total of 60 cubic feet of cargo area.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E is also outfitted with many of the latest tech features. The first one you'll likely notice is the large, vertically oriented touch screen in the center of the console. This 15.5-inch screen runs the latest SYNC infotainment software and makes it easy to access various vehicle features and apps. This software also uses machine learning and supports three driver profiles. This allows the software to customize the experience to each driver, making the Mach-E a great choice if you intend to have multiple drivers.
